More about the Adult
Bible Studies Curriculum
Several of the adult Sunday school classes use the Adult Bible Studies
curriculum. An official resource for The United Methodist
Church, approved by the General Board of Discipleship, and
published
quarterly by Cokesbury, Adult Bible Studies is
designed to help adults
understand the meaning and authority of the Bible for Christian
life. Lessons are based on the International Sunday School
Lessons for Christian Teaching by the Committee on the Uniform
Series.
Each week’s lesson includes:
The NRSV Scripture passage to be studied
A key verse to be memorized
A lesson that applies the Scripture text to our daily lives
